Retirement fund body EPFO, in its latest notification regarding New EPF Withdrawal Forms, has granted relaxation to the subscriber by allowing submission of withdrawal forms without employer attestations.
Till now, employees filing withdrawal forms manually were necessarily required to get the forms attested i.e. signed and sealed by their respective employers, but EPFO has done away with this requirement.
According to the notification, all the employees who have seeded/linked their KYC details i.e. Aadhar number and bank account details, with their UANs (Universal Account Number) and whose KYC are verified by their respective employer can now submit new EPF withdrawal forms directly to their respective jurisdictional EPF office without their Employers’ attestation.
So now if you have activated UAN and seeded the required KYC details with your UAN, you will not need your employer’s attestation (sign and seal) for:-
- EPF withdrawals (Refer: New TDS rules on EPF withdrawals)
- EPS withdrawals
- Claiming Advance or Loan from EPF
Please note that EPS withdrawal is only allowed if you have not completed 10 years of service.
